Do You Need Some Cardio Ideas?
April 18th, 2008 · Filed Under: Fat Loss Workouts
Hi everyone…we are FINALLY OUT with the snow and IN with the sunny, blue skies! I find it so motivating to get outside and move! I thought I would share some cardio ideas to help you on your fat loss journey.

As most of you know, I follow the Fit Chic Year of Workouts Program. My workout routine consists of 20 minute intense weight training sessions 4X/week. I also fit in at least 5 days of cardiovascular training. I have recently just achieved 14% body fat…and feel amazing!
Here is what I enjoy doing…maybe you will too
Day 1 - take an early morning brisk walk on an empty stomach. I love this time because it is quiet and I try to tune into all the nature around me. This really clears my head and I feel so much more focused. I walk for about 30-40 minutes.
Day 2 - Now that the nice weather is here…I will rollerblade for at least 30 minutes at a challenging speed.
Day 3 - Take a bike ride outside. Take in the scenery, while making your heart healthy and strong.
Day 4 - Push my daughter in the stroller while I alternate between walking at a brisk pace for 3 minutes and then jogging for 3 minutes. I will interval like this for at least 15 minutes.
Day 5 - I will take another early morning walk on an empty stomach.
These are only my cardio ideas that I enjoy. You need to find what you enjoy. I also love to skip. I also love to put on some crazy dance music and get silly with my kids. We will hop around, do jumping jacks, and just move! I also get busy in the yard at this time of year. Yesterday I was raking up all of our dead grass. Wow, what a workout! My arms and back feel it today. I did some digging in the garden too.
Have an amazing day!
Cheers to health,
Angie
